Contacting Wafu
Please DO NOT call or email asking for a reservation or to be member.
Requests for membership made in such a manner will not be considered. Details on how to become a member are listed below.
First, there are reasons for our policy of limiting admittance. There relate to the Wafu ethos, as food quality will suffer if excessive demands placed on staff. The obvious solution is to put on more staff, as many visitors to Wafu have kindly suggested. However, finding suitable staff in not as simple as it sounds. Until we do find suitable staff the strict “Member only” policy will-unfortunately- remain in place.
Reservations from Wafu club members
We request members ALWAYS make reservations even with small numbers of people.
1. The easy way to become a member is to be introduced by an existing member.
- Only members are permitted to place reservations and invite guests. Invited guests cannot place reservations and orders themselves, even if they will be accompanied by a member.
- If you wish to reserve a table for more than 6 people, or are reserving for smaller numbers but have time constraints, please place a pre-order (for at least the starters) to assist us in serving you better. If you place pre-order for new guest, the guest is not able to be invited as Wafu member because it is not able to understand how to order without help.
- When booking, please send the following information to Yukako’s mobile phone directly:
Your first name, *customer number, the number of people attending (ig; 2members & 2gusts), time of arrival, and any pre-orders if necessary (see above).
To repeat: first name, customer number, the number dining, and time. If your booking can be taken it will be confirmed with the simple text message “OK” or others. - However, you (our members) should fully explain our policies to your invited guests and co-ordinate the ordering. It is also the responsibility of hosting members to facilitate and oversee compliance with our policies throughout the course of the meal.
- You may lose your membership if you send message without right manner or your group does not adhere to our policies.
* If you are not able to find your member number or Yukako’s mobile number, please send email in a few days before making a reservation, Yukako will find out your number and back to you.
Note well: Do NOT try to make a reservation if you are NOT a member.
People with serious health issues
