Cooking class

The Wafu’s cooking classes are designed to show you how to cook easy and healthy dishes for dinner and the next day’s lunch box. Also our classes are for people interested in cooking allergy-free food at home. Straight away you will be able to cook healthy meals at home without stress!

All you need to do is bring yourself and take away containers as everything is provided for you on the day.

These classes are suitable for vegan, vegetarian and people with other limitations. Yukako can explain everything at once!

Our classes are NOT suitable for chefs.

You will learn:

  • Practical information on how to incorporate and prepare living food into your lifestyle
  • Essential equipment and supplies used in allergy friendly and healthy cooking
  • Helpful suggestions to make food preparation easier and faster
  • The creation of exciting everyday food dishes you can easily replicate

Vegan cooking classes and Group cooking class are one-off, one day sessions. We usually make a full traditional, home-dining meals.

1. Orientation and scheduled vegan cooking classes

Orientation: Explanation of eating manner and home-style Japanese Vegan breakfast (10am-1pm)
Cooking class: Explanation how to cook & pack up your meals and useful everyday meals (1pm-4pm)

Cost: including materials, recipes, lunch (orientation) and take away dinner (cooking class).

$60 pp for orientation (non member welcome!) *Remember to bring your own containers ‘just in case’ if you might think you are not able to eat everything!
$50 pp for vegan cooking class (*non member must attend orientation)
$110 pp for orientation and cooking class *Remember to bring your own containers for pack up your dinner!!

2. Group cooking classes (Only member and invited guests by member)

Type of Class: please choose from following options and request which meals you want to cook.

  • Basic: Teaches basic cooking skills like how to cook rice and that cooking is not a stressful task.
  • Ceoliac: Not only cooking. Lots of information about foods like how to distinguish between ingredients.
  • Free Gluten, Dairy, Egg and more: For people who need to cook with allergies, you will learn how to replace ingredients in meals.
  • Kids in the Kitchen: By deliberately working on the dish with parents and children, you are taught of the importance of communication and how children’s senses are for food are brought up. Parents are taught the importance of nutrition and education.
  • Vegan & Macrobiotic: Teaches the balance of food without animal products.

Cost: including materials, recipes, full meals (not tasting).

$200 for 1-4 people *more than 4people, extra $50 pp (max 10people)
*Remember to bring your own containers ‘just in case’ if you might think you are not able to eat everything!

3. Cancer diet (Japanese style) *Non member welcome

Cost: including recipes, basic seasoning and sauce, organic brown rice, side dishes (slow cooking and pickles) for covering 3weeks and teaching for making foods(up to 6hours in total cooking time).

$600 for 1 person (no extra cost if one more family member or friend join to cooking time)
*Remember to bring your own many containers for taking sauce and foods.

4. Diabetes diet (Japanese style) *Non member welcome

Cost: including recipes, basic seasoning and sauce, organic brown rice, side dishes (slow cooking and pickles) for covering 3weeks and teaching for making foods or shopping time (up to 6hours in total time).

$600 for 1 person (not extra cost if one more family member or friend join to cooking time)
*Remember to bring your own many containers for taking sauce etc.

5. Loose weight diet (Slow Japanese style) *Non member welcome but not temporally lose weight

This diet is planning to change your basal metabolism systems. If you need to lose weight quickly without thinking eating habit, please do not apply.

Cost: including recipes, basic seasoning and sauce, organic brown rice, side dishes (slow cooking and pickles) for covering 3weeks and teaching for making foods or shopping time (up to 6hours in total time).

$600 for 1 person (Yukako is able to introduce private trainer for excise)
