Opening HoursWafu is open during somewhat irregular trading hours. Due to the labour involved in preparation, it may not be possible to open during posted regular trading hours on some occasions. Please do not inquire about trading hours in such circumstances, as it is only possible to prepare and cook good food with complete attention. Yukako represents a finite resource, and must not be troubled with administrative matters when balancing food preparation for telephone orders and meeting the needs of seated customers.
Vegan Mondays 6pm - 9pm (Mon)
No animal products used - no fish or meat - to help in a small way reducing our CO2 emissions and think about what is life.
On Vegan Mondays Yukako wants you to...
- experience traditional home-style Japanese meals, how they are cooked with time and are best enjoyed as a whole;
- recognise how we can personally help reduce atmospheric CO2, for example by eating less meat, because stock animals produce significant quantities of excess CO2; and
- eat fresh organic vegetables and discover joys of seasonal flavours!
Non-members will be served: Only vegan gohan set meal available
Set meal price: $25 pp (after discount for finishing), Or $36 pp (if scraps are left over)
Must bring sturdy hard plastic containers for taking home any uneaten food.
Please show consideration. Do not trouble Yukako during busy times. Be advised that waiting times may vary.
